On my return from Seattle, I also took the opportunity to stop off in Portland for a couple of hours and photograph some old places of my child hood. This is the church from St Agatha's Catholic School, which I can't guarantee that I didn't fall asleep in during Friday mass.
The lighting on Sunday was great, even though the forecast was clouds and rain, it cleared up around noon and provided some great photo opportunities. I wish had made it to downtown but I was losing light and would have missed it entirely if I had tried head over there. Planning ahead for these kind of things makes a huge difference, but the weather in Oregon is unpredictable enough to make that a pain. Maybe next time.
Portland has some really great locations to photograph, if you can find them. I wish I had more time to go up there and wander around. The old architecture is something you can't find in Eugene, or Seattle for that matter.
St. Agatha's Catholic School is located in the Sellwood neighborhood of South East Portland.
